Shema: Listen + Be Heard
Over the last few weeks, Rabbi Mordecai has brought us together to give expression to our sadness and despair in the wake of the unfolding situation in Israel. Through engaging in active and respectful listening, these gatherings have been cathartic for so many of us. While everyone’s voice is important, it is also important for us to actively listen – Shema Israel – to others. In this way we can truly comfort and show our solidarity with one another.
