A chance to learn with David Friedman, Kabbalah artist and meditation teacher visiting from Tsfat, Israel together with Rabbi Dr. Orna Triguboff.
First we will give an overview of this ancient foundational text of the Kabbalah, exploring the 32 Paths of Mystical Wisdom that are its content - the 10 Sefirot (numbers) and the 22 Hebrew letters.
Then we will use the Book of Creation as a source for our own creativity as we create art inspired by what we have learned.
David Friedman was born in the United States, and moved to Israel in 1977 to study Torah and make art. Settling in Tzfat in 1979, he developed a way to represent the Kabbalah in art - using Hebrew letters, numbers, geometric shapes, and color theory. He runs a gallery and kabbalah classes in the quaint cobble-stone historical part of Tsfat, Galilee, in the north of Israel, where he presents to groups from around the world about Kabbalah and Jewish Meditation. You can see more of his art at http://www.kosmic-kabbalah.com
