Community - Rabbi Gad Krebs in conversation with Rabbi Jeffrey Kamins
An Orthodox Rabbi's perspective
Can we reach agreement on some of the issues that have challenged the relationship between Orthodox and non-Orthodox communities? What will be the major issues facing the Sydney Jewish community in the coming year?
Rabbi Krebs was born in Johannesburg, South Africa where he completed his schooling. In 1997 he and his entire family moved to Sydney where he studied at the University of New South Wales. It was during this time that he decided to explore his Jewish roots and spent time at Yeshiva in the Old City of Jerusalem. Upon completing his degree Rabbi Krebs moved to Israel and studied for his Rabbinic ordination. In 2005, he took up a position in St Ives at Kehillat Masada as the youth Rabbi and in time taking on the senior Rabbinic role. He has been community Rabbi for 13 years, during which he has successfully engaged the broader community through dynamic presentations and innovative programming.
