This Monday, May 20, author and journalist, Irris Makler will present My View of Women as a Reporter in Israel. She will outline the types of stories she covers in Israel and what it shows about the position of women on both sides of the line. She will also talk about the women she interviewed for her new book, 'Just Add Love'.

For this exhibition, award-winning photographer Ofer Levy has selected some of his favourite images of the birds and other animals of Israel.

Ofer's wildlife photos have been published in many magazines and books all over the world including National Geographic Magazine, Australian Geographic Magazine, BBC Wildlife Magazine and more.

Shabbat In the Circle

May 18th at 9.30am

Join us for this special Shabbat morning gathering. We begin at 9:30am with the study of Hassidic and other mystical texts then discuss how we can apply them in our daily lives. This is followed at 10:15am by a collaborative musical gathering based on the Shabbat morning service incorporating melodies, poems and dance to enhance our Shabbat.

This month, joining Cantor George Mordecai will be Toni Whitmont who will share her sound healing practice and envelope us with the deep vibrations of the crystal singing bowls. Stiofan Mac Suibe will lead a guided Loving Kindness meditation based on his 15 years of experience as a teacher and practitioner.

Heather Lee will lead us in an interactive chant with her beautiful soulful voice. Jenny Van Proctor and Sande Bruch will share two beautiful inspiring readings with us. Donna Jacobs Sife will teach us insights from the vast treasure house of stories that she so deeply embodies. Finally, Benzion Weiss will lead us in sacred dance as we learn how to pray with our whole being.

All are welcome for this unique gathering.
