In the new millennium, being a resident of Planet Earth means we have more of a responsibility than ever to take care of our home, office and even Synagogue . As our population grows and natural resources become more depleted, it's up to us to do our part to find and use alternative fuels, recycle our papers, plastics and metals, and in general, lead a more sustainable lifestyle.
And it's up to us to guide our children in the same direction to help ensure our planet's sustainability for future generations. If you believe that children are our future, (and we do) Emanuel Synagogue would like to start our very own junior Sustainability Army, and we would like our children to lead the way…
Kids: We would like you to come up with a name and logo for our new team of eco warriors and also design a poster to represent this team. Your poster should include ideas on how we can make our synagogue more sustainable.
All entries will be on display in our beautiful Gallery space and the winning entry will become our promotional material for all things sustainable at the synagogue.
Prizes will be announced on Thursday 8 August
Entries should be on an A3 paper with full name, age, address, phone, email and school.
Join us for morning minyan.
Every Monday and Thursday at 6:45am.
Friday mornings 9:30am
