Volunteer Opportunities at Kef Kids
Kef Kids youth volunteering
We believe it’s the youth’s role to take responsibility for community and to educate the younger generations in the values and Jewish literacy they have received on their journey. As a teenager this is your opportunity to become a leader and enhance your leadership skills. Kef Kids is Emanuel Synagogue's programme for children in years K–5.
This volunteering opportunity is open to Jewish day school and Emanuel Synagogue B’nei mitzvah alumni.
Hebrew is not a prerequisite to be a youth leader.
Youth leaders will learn leadership skills facilitated by our Head of Youth Education, Daniel (Samo) Samowitz.
The skills learned and practised at Kef Kids are quality life, experiential tools that you will be able to use for the rest of your life and help prepare you for school leadership positions.
Kef Kids is on a Thursday afternoon from 4:00-5:30pm at Emanuel Synagogue in Woollahra
Youth volunteers will be teachers' assistants and help Year K-5 students in all aspects of the programme.
Volunteering at Kef Kids will count towards your Duke of Ediburgh community service hours which your school may require. We will also be your assessor for Duke of Ed.
