There has always been the recognition in Judaism that sometimes marriages come to a conclusion and consequently, there is a ritual of divorce to separate the couple within Jewish Law.
If both members of the couple are Jewish according to Orthodox Halacha, a get, Jewish divorce, must be obtained through the Orthodox authority: the Sydney Beth Din. In all other circumstances, our Beit Din can arrange for a get to be issued.
Just call the synagogue to learn more or to book a time.
If a couple, or individual member of the couple, wish to mark this time with a meaningful ritual and acknowledge the beginning of a new path, our rabbis can create a ceremony specifically for you.
Contact the synagogue or your rabbi to discuss the possibilities.
