Simchat Torah

The evening service is the only time in the year when we read Torah at night and the next day continues the celebration of the Torah.

WIt is traditional to honour two members of the congregation with the first and last aliyot of the Torah. There is dancing and singing with the Torah, as circuits of the synagogue are made and lollies given out so that Torah will always be sweet to us.
