socialjustice@emanuel.org.auAnnual Programmes
One of the foundations of Judaism and our synagogue is Tikun Olam, the imperative upon us to heal the world and be active participants in bringing justice and healing to those around us and our planet.

Our synagogue has a very active social justice committee which has a number of on-going programmes reaching out and helping in our community.
We would love to have you join us in any of our programmes. We are also open to new ideas and initiatives and would love to hear from you.

Mitzvah Day
Our congregation has been participating in world-wide mitzvah day for many years

Festival Programmes and giving
We connect every festival celebration for our community with reaching out to give to others, so they too can share in the joy of our holidays
More InfoCollections
Our congregation has a number of on-going collections and often engage in one-off initiatives. At the moment we have the following opportunities for giving:

Bread Tags for Wheelchairs
We collect the bread tags and send them to “Bread Tags for Wheelchairs” in South Africa and in Australia. They then use the donations to acquire wheelchairs for people in need
