Children's services

We engage children in the spirit of Shabbat through song, dance, and story in regular services for Shabbat and Festivals. Our talented and joyous youth leaders delight and inspire children and parents to join in meaningful prayer inspiring a love of Judaism.

Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur 2017 begins at sunset on Friday, September 29 and ends at sundown on Saturday, September 30. Yom Kippur is the Jewish day of communal and personal atonement for sins committed during the past year.

Fasting is one of the central components of the Yom Kippur holiday. Jewish adults are commanded to fast, but there are exceptions for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and those who are ill.

Tisha B'Av

This year Tisha B'Av falls on July 31st/August 1st when we commemorate the anniversary of a number of disasters in Jewish history.

On Tuesday morning there will be a service at 6.45am including the chanting of Eichah. From 5:00pm there will be an afternoon service including tefillin and torah reading followed by Maariv.

The fast ends at 5:45pm

Masorti minyan

Join the "minyanaires" for a Masorti minyan in the Neuweg Sanctuary.

A meaningful way to begin the day. The Masorti morning minyan provides an opportunity to welcome the day with prayer and learning.

Starting at 8:30am for the long weekend.
