UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY: SPECIAL CALL OUT
FOR
“TWO SISTERS”

The Producer and Emanuel Synagogue invite expressions of interest for professional actors to audition to co-star with Jean Kittson in a dramatised reading of “Two Sisters”.

“Two Sisters” is a funny and poignant play about two sisters who re-unite on a kibbutz in Israel for the elder sisters 75th birthday. It reveals their secrets, their lies, their jealousies, their humour, their wit and their love for each other.

The part calls for a woman who can play a sister, aged in her 60s or early 70s.

Auditions for the shortlisted successful applicants will take place at the Millie Phillips Building, Emanuel Synagogue, 7 Ocean Street, Woollahra, on 22 April 2021 at which time you will read lines with Jean.

The 4 performances of the dramatised reading will take place at the Millie Phillips Building commencing Wednesday 19 May 2021. Rehearsals to occur on the immediately preceding Friday, Monday and Tuesday.

Jean Kittson is one of Australia’s leading comediennes and entertainers. Her acting credits include “Mum’s the Word”, “Calendar Girls” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. She is a regular guest on the ABC radio show “Thank God It’s Friday” and an author of books including “You’re Still Hot to Me: The Joys of Menopause”.

The Producer, Adam Liberman, has amongst his credits “Freud’s Last Session” starring Henri Szeps , the Theatre Royal; “Blonde Poison” starring Belinda Giblin, the Sydney Opera House; “The Time Machine” starring Mark Lee, the NIDA Playhouse, and “Lip Service” starring Amanda Muggleton, the MTC’s Lawler Theatre.

The director, Nicholas Papademetriou, is an actor and director, who has worked for all the major theatre companies including STC, MTC, Belvoir, Ensemble and Sport for Jove.
